To be human
Is to carry values
Of peace
Love
And harmony
It’s ancient
Written in the heart
For infinity
Yet many hide behind labels---
Choosing hate
Blocking out the messages
from their souls
Seeking answers from others
It’s easy to identify as
Catholic
Methodist
Brethren
Because it’s easier on the ego
To hide
To go against the soul’s essence
To see everything as separate
Fear runs rampant
On a society
That is unable to see clearly
Where the darkness and light
Truly lies
